In order to deal with problems with spirits that, unbeknownst to people, have been increasing year after year, one branch of the local government has established a "spirit expert support window"! It's named the "Sixth Sense Bureau, Spirit Support Division", or "Rokurei" for short. Their job is normally NOT to exorcise the spirits, but to solve problems between the spirits and people - hense "Spirit Support". And so, a thrilling and mysterious ghostly drama unfolds, connecting this world with that of the afterlife!
